I am thankful for this man, my husband. He is my best friend, the one who makes me happy, laugh, holds me when I cry, and has brought me the greatest joy in my life. He is unselfish, kind, helpful, a fabulous chef, an absolutley amazing father, an awesome student, a honorable priesthood holder, and is as my patriarchal blessing puts it, 'a noble son of God.'
Shortly after we started dating he read his blessing to me. It said that the Lord prepared his wife for him in the life before and that he would know her when he saw her, I never had wanted to be anyone so much in my life as I wanted to be "her". I'm grateful that I am. I wouldn't say that there were amazing fireworks when we first got together, just the familiar peaceful feeling that we belonged together and would be for eternity. A bishop once told us that we should only love the Lord more than our spouse, he makes that easy. Some times I feel unworthy of such an amazing man. He is my strength and support when I am weak. And is humble enough to argue that he is the lucky one. I look forward everyday to the time when he is retired and we can spend every second together traveling and serving.
Thank you Travis for the last 8 years. I look forward to the rest of eternity and the chance that I get to call you mine.
