Grateful for snoring!

So the other night at dinner I made a discovery. I really don't believe in luck, I believe that our Father in Heaven is really watching and looking out for us. Sometimes he lets life take its course and things happen, and then he reaches out and will catch us when we fall. Jacob takes forever at dinner time, we are talking an hour at the table after everyone else is done. The other night was turning into one of those nights. I was done eating and doing the dishes and he and Trenton were still working on theirs, and having a crazy little boy conversation as usual. Xander was lying on the floor just being a happy baby, when all of a sudden Jacob's chair went flying backwards hitting the open door of the dishwasher. I ran to get him and was scared what I would find because he wasn't moving or making a sound and the back of his head is resting on the door. When I picked him up he just looked at me. There was a very small red mark on his head and that was it. He didn't ever cry. It was then that I realized that little Xanders head was less than a foot from where the chair landed. Then I lost it. All of the scarry things that could have happened and didn't came rushing at me. All I could do, after I used what happened as a learning moment, was cry and thank the Lord for his protection. That night in bed I just listened to little Xander snore and was so grateful for this blessing called motherhood and the knowledge that some one above is helping me get through it all.

Included are all the little moments that I am thankful for this month.

Ok so I am going to try this again, so sorry if you get two comments, but I am new to this whole blogger thing because we finally have pictures of someone besides ourselves to post, people like baby pictures much more than ones of us!! I was so happy to here from you, I have been trying to get your address forever, I have been thinkning for about 2 years that I need to find you and stay in touch, and now we can. Your kids are so cure, I don't know how you do it with three boys! Thanks for your story, I realize that Heavenly Father cares more about His children than I remember sometimes and I need to trust in Him more, this mother thing has been a little overwhelming and I had an experience on Tuesday that little CAitlyn somehow got on her stomach and couldn't breathe and luckily I foudn her right away or it would have been very bad, but I realize the I had a lot of help and prompting to check on her then. I hope everything continues to go well and I will keep in touch!! Julie

Thank you for sharing that story. It is always a good to have reminders of how much the Lord's hands are in our lives. It actually reminds me of one of Elder Eyring's talk at Conference. Loved that.
