TAGGED!!

So I've been tagged. I'm not sure what to write so this might be random. ( this is so embarrassing!!)

1. I modeled and acted when I was little. I was totally one of those little pagent girls. If I had a scanner I would scan some pictures. I won the title of Little Princess in the beauty portion at nationals. I got a tiara and sash and the whole thing, I thought I was so cool!! I also played Wendy in a production of Peter Pan put on by the preforming arts school that I went to. And did a screen test with Sally Field. We spent about an hour together and the directors gave us scenarios to act out. I don't remember a ton of it, I was only 5. It came down to the girl who got the part and me. I didn't have a Texas accent and that was what they were going for. But I got to attend the priemer when it opened in Dallas. Oh yeah, the movie was Places in the Heart.

2. I love sweets. There I said it. It doesn't even really matter what it is, I will eat it if it is sugar. Travis laughs at me and it bugs him too because he can buy him a treat that he knows that I really don't like, and I will try to stay out of it but if he takes too long to eat it, I do. Horrible I know!!! Explains why I gained almost 20 pounds the first year that we were married, other things played into that weight gain, but probably mostly sweets.

3. I love to watch the season/series ends of shows. Especially ones that I have never seen before. I don't know why, but when I know that they are ending I feel like I need to watch. That is how we fell for LOST, and how I decided to every now and again watch GREYS ANATOMY (which I so thought was a naughty show till I watched one, actually it still is not the best, but I don't watch those episodes!!;) )

4. I met my sweety while he was serving his mission in my home ward in Dallas. Most probably know this story by now, but here it is. The first time I saw him was during sacrament meeting and some of the little beehives in our ward were talking about the new Elder and asked me if I thought he was cute. Sure I thought, not too bad, a little short maybe for me. He says he saw me in the primary room, I was the secretary, and thought that I was (his words not mine) someones hot wife. (haha) Then he knocked on my door a few days later for a meeting, my Dad was the new ward mission leader. The companion he had at the time was lazy and spending time with members was how Travis got him to go tracking. Our house was this guys favorite. So we saw a lot of Elder Shepherd, maybe too much some would say, I started to find him annoying. I was complaining to a friend about some thing he had said to me one day, and my friend said "you know, I think that you really like him." What!! Then she had me thinking, did I?? I went to New Orleans with some friends that weekend and had lots of quiet driving time to think about it. Oh crud, she was right!! When I got back it was testimony meeting and he got up to bare his. He was suddenly being transferred after only 2 months in our ward and he started to cry and said how much he loved everyone in our ward. I swear he was looking at me most of that time, and others saw it too and asked me about it. He says he doesn't remember that part, but I have witnesses!! Well after that he left. He came back to baptize a guy that I grew up with and asked me if I would buy a missionary book for him from the bookstore, because his area was too far away. I did and wrote him a short letter, no it wasn't romantic in the least. He wrote back later a few weeks later and from there we wrote on and off for the rest of his mission. When he got off I had been living in Utah for almost a year, and was actually dating some one seriously. But I kinda always knew that we would be married. My mom made sure, as well as my roommates, that I called him and we atleast hung out. And the rest is history.

4. I was an orthodontic assistant for 9 years. I started my senior year of high school for a guy in my ward. And worked for the guy that Mike Cook is taking over for. I loved it!! And some times miss the interaction with the patients, but have no plans to ever go back.

5. I promised Travis when we were getting engaged that I would always shave my legs. Have to say that that only really lasted for the first year. Sorry babe!

6. I wish that I could sing and act on broadway. Really that would never happen, but whenever I see those shows I just imagine myself up there and think about it constantly for days afterwards.

Well there we go. So boring I'm sure. I'm really not that interesting of a person. So now I tag...Marianne, Andrea, and Maggie. Ok girls, I can't wait to read about your six things that most don't know about you!

Yes - I am very happy that I had a girl and pink is very fun! But boys are great! I loved your stories, and even though I was there when you and Travis met I didn't know the whole story. But I will say that I think it is great how you met, and I have pictures from that trip to Lousiana that I should scan and send to you! By the way, do you happen to have any information on Cindy? She is another one that I need to get in contact with!! Have a great day!!

I LOVE Grey's Anatomy... and Ty won't admit it, of course, but he likes it MORE than I do. We'll have to have a Grey's season finale party before you move with Jess Yates... she's obsessed too.

I have been so behind...it has been great catching up on your little family. Your boys are too cute! And I loved learning all those interesting factoids about you. I am with you on the sugar thing - oh and Gray's Anatomy. Ryan deleted the most recent episode from our DVR before I could watch it because he doesn't want me watching it. I was so mad! I had to watch it online!

I love the story of how you met Travis. I had to laugh about how you began your post with "this is so embarrassing." You are a great sport. Isn't blogging the best? I bet you made the cutest pageant girl. I think Trenton and Jacob both have a shot at fame too. They are adorable.
