Boy's Day Out!!!

So, it has been a long time since I have posted anything and those of you who have been long time bloggers with us know that up until a couple of years ago I did all the posting. But, Jamie has been out of town visiting with her grandparents in Dallas with Xander leaving Trenton, Jacob and me hanging out in Denver. So, today I decided that we needed to spend a good day with the boys .

6:30 AM
Trenton and Jacob wake me up for some early Saturday Morning cartoons. We saw none other than "Biker Mice From Mars". It is quite entertaining if you have never seen it.



8:00 AM
Head to McD's with the rest of the lazies from Aurora who didn't want to make breakfast. Can't pass up a $1.00 sausage egg mcmuffin.

11:30 AM
Trenton and Jacob have been dying to to see Star Wars: The Clone Wars. As a matter of fact, Trenton had marked the opening day on his calendar and reminded us often of when it opened. I figured this was one mom could do with out. It was challenging to find a theater that was still carrying the movie, but it was worth the effort and drive. They had no idea what movie we were seeing - as soon as it started they erupted with excitement. I had to give myself a little pat on the back for the great idea.

Jamie reminded me frequently before she left that today was FREE Zoo day. I guess I had no idea how many people in Denver would want to take advantage of a free day at the zoo. One word of advice to anyone in Denver considering it - DON'T DO IT! After finally finding a parking place we walked 30 minutes around the zoo to get to the main gate to punch through the hoards of people. Every exhibit that had an animal had a crowd. Trenton and Jacob were able to see when I would hold them up. I complain about it, but they loved it, so thanks Mom for reminding us of the painful yet enjoyable Free Zoo day.

How far can you jump?

We finished the night at home relaxing while eating a Pepperoni Pizza. It was a nice day of just hanging out with the boys. I had as much fun watching them as they had during the day. Just one of those days that make you say - "Being a parent is the most amazing thing in the world." Today was great, but we can't wait to have mom home.
