9 years and counting....

Today is our 9th anniversary!! It feels like so much longer. (but in a GOOD way :) Some times we forget that we didn't know each other in high school. I am always talking about people that Trav has never met and he has to remind me that he doesn't know that person. We met while he served his mission in Dallas. I still remember the first time I saw him. After Sacrament Meeting one Sunday in June 1997 some of the beehives in our ward came up to me and asked if I had seen the new missionary. I was serving in the Primary Presidency in my home ward as the secretary and the Elders were coming in to talk to the Primary about Missionary work. In walked this short, skinny Elder with glasses and I thought, "He's kinda cute." He says that he remembers it too and thought that I was (in his own words) someones hot wife. Little did we know that two and a half years later I would be HIS wife.

Travis is my best friend. He makes me laugh all the time. We say all the time that we were made just for each other because we have such weird senses of humor. No one thinks that we are as funny as we do. I love him even though he leaves cabinets open, lights on, messes in the kitchen and clothes on the floor. He loves me even though I relentlessly nag him about all those things. I couldn't love anyone more.

Thanks Bubby for the last nine years. And loving me through that first VERY trying and crazy year as I learned to become less selfish and how to be a wife. I am so very grateful for all the love you share, your amazing example to our boys, the hard work that you put into every thing you do, and for always keeping to the lighter side of things. The boys and I love you so very much!!
