Heart Attack!!!
So I took Jacob to pre-school today, which is really just a few of us POOR mom's who decided to do our own thing twice a week, and the Mom in charge today, Becky, and I were just sitting around talking waiting for the other kids to show up when her little boy came running in saying, "Him is hurt. Bad, come see." When we asked who he said, "HIM!" Well Jacob is the only other boy, and for him to be hurt but not come running made me think that all was really fine. But Conner was so serious that we come and see what was wrong. In getting up off the couch I said, "what is he unconscious?" We walk in the playroom, which is just across the room and Jacob is lying on his side next to the desk. Becky leaned over and rubbed his back, no movement. So I called his name, nothing. She rolls him over and he lifelessly flops on to his back, WHAT!!! My heart jumps into my throat and I call his name again, NOTHING. Now Becky is a nurse and starts to jump into rescue mode when I notice the corner of his mouth turn up into a smirk. UHHHHHH!! I grabbed him up and said "don't DO THAT", to which he becomes angry because I was kinda upset. He was just "playing dead", Yea well he deserves an EMMY, we both just sat on the couch after that and tried for the next half an hour to catch our breath. Seriously I thought walking back to the couch that I would pass out, my heart was beating so FAST and HARD. He has never done that before, but really I blame Travis and I, we have teased them before when playing swords, but stopped when Trenton got upset one time. OH KIDS!!

Oh what a heart attack indeed. What a cute kid, minus the scare tacticks (sp?) that he is now working on perfecting. WOW... Can't help it, he is just too cute!
So don't ever do that again, because as I am reading the beginning of your blog, my eyes are filling with tears--I can only imagine how you were! That is crazy. The scariest part is that they were able to get Conner to go and get you and be perfectly serious. We are glad he is ok!!!
I couldn't help but laugh out loud (of course after I freaked out first!) What a little stinker!
Oh, what a pair those two are! I totally know that heart attack feeling. Hopefully, Jacob learned a lesson from seeing you so upset. Isn't being a Mom just great!!
oh i forgot to tell you that jacob was doing that in the car on the way to preschool on monday. he wouldn't talk or anything and i was like are you pretended to be sleeping and really....he is good at it. it was kind of eerie to be so lifeless. anyways dayna picked up on the this so called game a couple weeks ago and it is not allowed in our house. sleeping beauty does it you know but she is not allow to do it. scary...i am glad i wasn't there in charge today!
What a silly boy! When you told me this story, I too was thinking of all these horrible things that could have happened that parents dread. Kids...you just never know what's next!
Wow, I really would have lost it!! Even hours afterward my heart would still be pounding. what a little stinker! I sure am glad it was just "pretend" even though if gave you a heart attack!
yikes. you're boys will either give you a heart attack or melt your heart away. where are those pics of DC?
OH MY GOODNESS! I am with Ashley on that one. I am pretty impressed with his skill though! Your boys are adorable!
I think I had a heart attack while I was reading this post! I'm so glad that he really was ok. Maybe you should consider putting him in acting lessons :)
