Easter

This Easter was laid back. Travis and I spoke on the "Resurrection and Atonement of Christ", always fun.(said sarcastically) We came home and found the eggs left in a bag from the Bunny. He knew that we had early church so he left the eggs for Daddy and Mommy to hide. Aren't I sneaky! Trenton was fast and we had to have him stop and watch Jacob find eggs since he had to shake every one that he picked up. Xander decided that plastic eggs are his new favorite toy. Then lunch, naps and off to some friends for dinner. We had leg of lamb, so very yummy, pollenta (sp), which is a fried bread made of corn meal and Parmesan cheese made by the poor village people in Italy where Ty served his mission, salad, jello salad, yummy baked squash and tomatoes, Travis' famous mashed potatoes and rolls. I should have taken pictures of the food, it was so good. Unfortunately I was just overcoming the stomach flu and didn't partake of much. The kiddos painted eggs and had a hunt INSIDE since it was SNOWING outside. Melissa gave this cute lesson on the First Easter. The kids only paid attention for a minute or two, but I have to say how proud I was that my boys knew the true reason we celebrate, probably because that's all I did that week was drill into their little heads that it was all about Christ and his great sacrifice. All in all it was a wonderful Easter.
