Jacob's FIVE!!

Jacob's fifth birthday was earlier in the month. I still can't believe that he is FIVE! He had a crazy birthday week. We headed up to Utah for an impromptu trip to see Trav's Mom who has had some back problems lately that had her in the hospital for a week and in and out of care centers lately. Then the week of his birthday my Mom and Dave were in town to visit his sister who was dying of cancer. So he got to see a lot of family, which was nice. We had homemade pizza and made his cake. He and Travis went to the store a few days before so that he could pick it out. He decided that he wanted "vanilla" cake with chocolate icing. White cake was as close to vanilla as we could come up with, plus if you'll remember from previous posts, my oven and I don't get along so anything other than straight from a box is beyond my capabilities.

He got a "package" from Grammy a couple of days before,

which was almost TORTURE for him not to open.

We found the greatest little Planet Earth Explorer kit while in Utah.

It came with a tent, flash light, magnifying glass, binoculars, and map. He LOVED it!

This was the day after he was born and he was having a bottle.

I, ofcourse, think that all my babies were beautiful, BUT I have to say

that little Jacob stole alot of hearts in the hospital in Kentucky.

A friend of mine told me once that after she saw him in the hospital

she told her husband that she just wanted to go back and hold him more,

he was the most beautiful baby she had ever seen.
He was and IS a cutie!
