Travis and I have been talking about what to do for our 10th anniversary for the last year and half. First we decided that we would go to Hawaii to celebrate, and since the ADA Convention was going to be about the same time we would be able to write off a few of the expenses. But then in May we found out that I was PREGNANT and decided that maybe Hawaii wouldn't be so much fun almost eight months preggo. Once we decided to move to Arizona we realized that Disneyland was only 6 1/2 hours away. What better way to celebrate than with our kiddos in the Happiest Place on Earth. October is a great time to go we have been told since most of the California crazies are in school. We talked to our friends in UT, the Cooks, and found out that they would be in Cali the same time and we decided to go to DL together. It was a blast! Trenton ended up having a fall break the same time as when we had decided to go. YEAH! No worries with makeup work or missing school. Would hate to go through the craziness of dealing with the school system like we did with Louisville. Not fun! We went on Thursday and Friday, Thursday was so great. The lines didn't pick up until after school got out. And I loved that there was plenty for Xander and Me to ride. Friday night before it closed we rode the Train that travels on the outside of the park. Xander was in HeAveN!! Infact we still says a few times a day, "Mommy, choo choo was fun?!" I think that he said it about 100 times on the way home from Cali. We stayed in a hotel close to the park and walked to the closest DL parking lot to catch the tram to the park. After the first day of walking though all four pairs of Parent legs were about to fall off. I slept very little! And after Friday I felt like for sure I would walk with a limp for the rest of my life.
We drove through Palm Springs on our way out.
They have a million of these windmills all over the place, even up on the mountains.
I think that the guy taking pictures at the front gate was annoyed with us.
We took a bunch of our family and then some with our friends.

He didn't even ask if we wanted him to take our picture.
Oh well, we would have said NO any way.

We have friends from Louisville that live out in the LA area, and they met up with us
and Jami told us about this great show called "Jedi Training". They pick
like 20 kids from the crowd to participate, and Trenton was chosen.
They gave them robes and light sabers and taught them some "moves"
Then they each had a chance to "fight" Darth Vader or a Sith.
Trenton fought Vader. Xander kept saying, "UH OH!!"

After he finished the fight, the Imperial Guards surrounded him
and the teacher said that because he was so good it made them especially nervous.

He then taught Trenton how to use the FORCE. And throw the guys to the side.
You should have seen the smile on this kids face for the next hour.
He was in heaven.
They gave him a certificate afterwards, and he had to make sure that
I remember to frame it.

Jacob and Tanner enjoying a ride.

Xan's super happy smile!
Mike and Trav's "Happy faces"!

Tanner, Steph and Trenton

Me and Steph
I really don't like pictures of me preggo.
My face gains as much weight as the rest of me.

Enjoying rides in his sleep??

Friday we hit California adventures before the crowds.

Trenton and Jacob posing with the Cars Characters.

Ok. So what comments come to YOUR mind when you see this picture??

The little ones and I couldn't ride as many rides there, so I did some sitting and they did some sleeping. I heard all sorts of comments like, "Oh man! (shaking heads)", "You are brave woman!", "Isn't that sweet!", and my favorite "A margarita in your hand would make that the best picture ever!!"

Our Happy Anniversary Picture!

They have a new cute Toy Story ride that the boys patiently waited in line
for almost an hour to ride.

We had heard that they closed California Adventures early to decorate for a Halloween party.
The kids brought their costumes and couldn't wait to get candy.
That was until we found out it was an extra FOURTY DOLLARS, and they
were handing out stinky candy like dum dums and smarties.
So not worth it.

Instead we headed back to Disneyland to watch fireworks

And for Trav to use his "Go to the front of the line" pass for
the Madderhorn.
He waited for almost 20 minutes the night before for the lady to embroider the boys names on their Mouse ear hats. So to make up for that, even though Trenton broke a snow globe and glass and glitter covered the floor, they gave him this pass to the front of any line of his choice and since the Madderhorn had a huge line that night, that's what he chose.

The boys were pooped after that ride and ready to leave.

I was getting mad because we had spent two days there and not seen
Mickey Mouse. Finally at the end of the day as we were making our way
through the gift shops I found him tucked away in a corner.
We tried to get just the boys to go stand with him, but Xander suddenly
got freaked out and wouldn't go for anything.

We made our way down south to San Diego to stay in a beach house for another two days. But that post will come later. Two hours of downloading, sorting and then blogging pictures is all I can handle for one day.

ToTally fun to see you guys, Jamie! I told Jack how dumb we were...we didn't even take a single pic with any of you! I do like the margarita pic, though. It's the best.
