He's 7!

Trenton just had his 7th birthday. I can't believe that he is that old already. Trav had the day off so we ran up to the school and ate lunch with him and then had cupcakes and ice cream with his class. Of course I forgot the camera, seems like I do that a lot lately. That night we took him to pick out whatever movie he wanted from Red Box (love that!), he picked a Super Mario Brothers cartoon. Some of you with younger brothers may remember it, I think it was on in the late '80s early '90s. We asked him what he wanted for dinner and he answered "My favorite, CHILI DOGS!" I didn't expect that, but hey it was easy.

Saturday he had a few friends over for a little party. Trav was great and got on line to find easy party games. He came up with a cute Pirate Party. They made their own hats out of news paper, learned to "talk pirate", played "sink the ship", "cannon ball blast", and had a treasure hunt. It was a success!

We LOVE this little, I mean BIG boy and all the fun that he brings to our family. I can always count on a smile and hug during the day, no matter what kind of day he has. He has the sweetest comments, and is always so complimentary. Not sure where he picked it up, but I am sure glad that he is that way. One of the ladies in our ward here said that she thinks that he is going to make such a wonderful husband and Dad because he has such a capacity to love. And during our Parent/Teacher conference his teacher said that he was amazed by his ability to genuinely care about his fellow students. I am always proud of him, and all that he accomplishes.

How blessed Trav and I are to call him OURS!
