Jacob has been saying the funniest things lately. Travis and I decided that we needed to start writing them down because we are starting to forget them, probably because he will do or say something almost every day.
He has become a junk food junkie these last few days with all the Christmas treat deliveries. He really wanted one of the Christmas tree cookies in the fridge and knew that we weren't giving in so he, in his clever little three year old mind thought up this one.
"Dad these cookies just remind me of Jesus." Nice try
He loves McDonalds, what kid doesn't, and we really love Red Box $1 movies. He was mad we weren't getting food the other night and told Travis to turn the van around and go through the "drive path".
While wrestling Travis told Jacob that it was his turn to take Travis down, Jacob said "I can't take you down. I'm just a little kid."
He didn't want to leave with me the other day to go get Trenton from school, usually telling him that I am leaving gets him moving but not that day. I said that I had to leave and told him that some one could try and get him if I left him alone. He said, "I will just get my light saber and cut off their arms." Yep that would scare any robber away.
So I locked the door and put Xander in the car, then went back and rang the door bell, to which he yelled "come in!!" I knocked and he yelled, "Just open the door, I'm to little to do it!!" I opened the door and asked what he would have done if I was a bad guy, he said that he would use his power (HeMan) and push me out the door then go get his light saber.
For some reason when he finds a broken toy he tends to blame it all on Jesus. Not sure why. The other day in the parking lot of Kroger he was getting angry that it was misty and windy so he looks up at the sky with his most authoritative voice and said "Jesus, come down here!!"
"Remember when I was a baby and we had HeMan cookies and I shared one with Jesus. Jesus loves us."
"Mom, Jesus is coming." "He is? When?" "I don't know, but he has something to tell me."
He woke up from a nap a while ago and told us a story that involved a dark hole and a walk with Jesus. Ever since then he has this new relationship with the Lord. He seriously talks about him all the time. I just hope that it continues.
He told me one Sunday after a nap that something smelled. I asked what it smelled like, he said "Crap." WHAT!! I said that no it smelled like dinner, he said "NO it smells like crap. I don't eat crap." Daddy was in trouble for that one. We no longer use that word in our house.

I don't eat crap!! I think that is the funniest kid comment I've heard in a while.
SOOOOOO funny. I love the cookies reminding him of Jesus.
I can't wait to hear what Xander says... between the three of them, you will never have to speak again. They will provide endless interesting conversations for you for the rest of your life. :) BTW - are you guys sticking around or going back home? how is Xander feeling?
