Chicago In June

The following pictures were all taken during our summer vacation to Chicago. It was a first for us and we fell in love with the city. A word of advice for anyone planning on going to Chicago, take the subway, life was more enjoyable once were learned that.
No visit to Chicago would be complete with out a visit to Wrigley Field, so we decided to start out with it. Unfortunatly we were unable to obtain tickets for a resonable price, it being Fathers Day weekend and all. There is always next time.
Getting ready to swim in Lake Michigan. Just one word describes it after the 80 degree water we had in Myrtle Beach last year ... BURRRRRR!!!
The most exciting thing fo the whole trip for Trenton and Jacob was the Train/Subway.
Sears Tower
View of Down Town Chicago from Sears TowerPizzeria Uno
In the Heart of downtown, this is the "Original Pizzeria Uno" which claims to be the originator of the chicago style deep dish.

All of us were starving after walking the streets of down town so we decided to order a medium and a small. If you have never had deep dish before, two pieces is almost more than any one human being can handle. We had twice as much as we could eat.

The Navy Pier is a must see in Chicago. Right on Lake Michaigan it is the Mecca for tourist attractions and Lake Front boat tours.

Just another picture of Down Town from Lake Michigan

Jamie was patient all day as she waited for us to finally get around to Ghiradelli after we walked down the "Magnificent Mile"

I think that Trenton and Jacob enjoyed it far more than Jamie.

Waiting for the Subway after a long day in Down Town Chicago

TIRED???

Soldier Field - Home of the Chicago Bears - Not really a fan, but it was next to the Field Museum

The Field Museum

A Must for anyone visiting Chicago. Next to the Smithsonian, this was one of the most amazing museums that we have been to. All Jacob could say the whole time was that he was at, "Night at the Museum"

Had to get a Picture with "Sue". The boys second favorite thing in Chicago.

A Chicago Dog with everything from SupperDawg. Can you say Yummy!!! One all beef hot dog w/ onions, sweet relish, mustard, a pickle wedge, hot peppers, a green tomatoe, and celery salt on a poppy seed bun. Normally I don't care for most of this stuff individually, but all together, BAM! Fireworks for the mouth

Trent doing his best supperdawg.

How did we find out about Supperdawg? Watching TV of course. We saw a special on the Travel Channel one night about the best hotdog joints in the country.

Looks like a fun trip. One last hoopla before they outnumber you two?
